As the youngest daughter of a first generation Greek cook and café owner, Marcia’s earliest years were shaped with sharing traditional food and good times with friends and family around the eating table. Later in life she travelled and studied in Italy and along with her husband opened ‘Il Centro’. When their son died of bowel cancer at the age of 37, Marcia decided to write a book to help raise funds for research into finding a cure for this disease, Greek by Heritage Italian by Heart is the result of this celebrating what matters most in life: good food, friends and family. A percentage of all proceeds sold will go to bowel cancer research.
